We can't pass this one on yet
A firm can only quote for building work if the person who can approve it is involved. You told us that isn't you, so nothing has been sent and we haven't kept what you typed.
What you can do
- If you rent, speak to your landlord or letting agent. Any change to the building is their decision. They can make the enquiry themselves.
- If the home belongs to a partner or relative, ask them to fill in the form, or do it together with them.
- If you own a flat, you can use the form. You may need your neighbours to agree to work on a shared roof, but that's something to sort out along the way. Our planning guide explains more.
- If you're buying the home, come back once it's yours. In the meantime the suitability guide shows what to look for.
